Free Draft Chapter #1 - The AI-Native Engineer
Hey! I hope you’re having a great weekend (or a nice start of the week if you’re reading this on Monday)! I’d like to share something with you: I’ve completed a first draft of some chapters of the book.
I’m sharing the first drafts with some colleagues and friends, but I want to share a small gift: the first chapter - completely free :D
What are you going to find within this chapter?
This is the outline:
The Vibe Coding Trap
Two Engineers, One Task
What AI-Native Engineering Is Not
The Role Transformation: From Implementer to Orchestrator
Why the Traditional Workflow No Longer Scales
The New Center of Gravity: Intent, Constraints, and Verification
Human-in-the-Loop: The Non-Negotiable Checkpoint
What AI-Native Engineers Actually Do
The New Skill Stack That Makes You Irreplaceable
The Cost of Not Adapting
Career Implications: Why This Becomes a Leadership Role
Summary
I’m currently on a train, writing chapters and creating images - and I’m realizing that writing this book has been a great decision: we’re just a few weeks in, and I've gotten so much nice and constructive feedback.
This is the link to the first chapter. It is an open Google Doc - I hope you’ll have some fun reading it.
In the next few weeks, I’ll send a few emails about practical insights on AI-Native Engineering. In case you missed it, I’ve released a practical roadmap available both on my website and on Github as markdown (stars to the repo are deeply appreciated!)
Thanks for trusting me, and as usual, if you have any feedback for me, you can reach out on LinkedIn or via email: info@alfonsograziano.it
Cheers ;)
